Shinpachi Shimura is one of the main characters in the anime and manga series Gintama. He is known for his earnest personality, strong sense of responsibility, and signature glasses. As a member of the Yorozuya alongside Gintoki Sakata and Kagura, Shinpachi often serves as the straight man in comedic situations. Despite lacking extraordinary fighting abilities, he is highly skilled with a sword and deeply loyal to his friends and his sister Otae.
