Overview
Itaru Hashida, also known by his nickname Daru, is a major supporting character in Steins;Gate. He is a skilled computer hacker and self-proclaimed “super hacker” who helps Rintaro Okabe and the Future Gadget Laboratory with technical expertise, programming, and hardware modifications. Despite his laid-back, otaku-heavy personality and frequent jokes, he is highly intelligent and dependable. He plays an important role in enabling the group’s experiments and later becomes even more significant in the series’ time-travel developments and alternate worldlines.
