Overview
Gaghiel is an Angel in the anime series Shin Seiki Evangelion (Neon Genesis Evangelion). It appears as a massive aquatic Angel that attacks NERV’s Pacific Fleet while targeting the Evangelion units. Gaghiel is notable for its sea-based battle and its ability to fight effectively underwater, making it a dangerous opponent in a domain where the Evas are at a disadvantage. As one of the series’ Angels, Gaghiel serves as an episodic antagonist and a test of the pilots’ and NERV’s adaptability.
