Overview
Bason is a powerful Chinese warrior spirit in Shaman King and one of Yoh Asakura’s ally spirits. He originally served as the guardian spirit of the Chinese general Ren, and later becomes closely associated with Tao Ren, acting as his guardian ghost and battle spirit. Bason is loyal, disciplined, and honorable, often speaking in a formal manner. In the series, he supports Ren in combat and helps highlight Ren’s growth from a cold fighter into a more compassionate character.
