Overview
Mothra is a giant divine kaiju and one of the central creatures in Gojira tai Mosura (Godzilla vs. Mothra). She is portrayed as a benevolent guardian associated with nature, balance, and protection of humanity. In the film, Mothra plays a key role as a powerful ally and counterforce to Godzilla, helping drive the story’s conflict and resolution. Unlike many other kaiju, Mothra is usually depicted with a sympathetic, heroic presence rather than a destructive one.
