Alto Saotome

早乙女 アルト

Alto Saotome is the main protagonist of the anime series Macross Frontier. He is a talented high school student and an aspiring actor from a famous kabuki family, known for his striking appearance and long hair. Despite his theatrical upbringing, Alto dreams of flying and joins the SMS Skull Squadron as a Valkyrie pilot. Throughout the series, he finds himself at the center of a love triangle and is instrumental in defending Frontier from the Vajra threat.
